Being a housewife has its perks, definitely. For example, have you seen that show Mob Wives? It’s really trashy but since I got so many great direct tv hd channels it’s something I’ve gotten into. I think it’s really fascinating watching these women just go at it and the show reminds me of the other favorite of mine, The Real Housewives of Jersey Shore. I think it’s hilarious that grown women fight each other (seriously, they actually physically fight each other) and even with their kids and stuff in the background! I don’t know how you can go on TV and say that you’re literally married to a mob member without getting your husband getting arrested but most of their husbands are already in jail anyway. I can’t imagine being part of this group but I don’t have to…I can just watch like a fly on the wall and get all the enjoyment out of it without actually having to get away from punches or watch the hair pulling. I love enjoying all my trashy reality shows!

I was watching reruns of my favorite show on DirecTV Illinois. I absolutely love the show “Mad Men”. I have been watching it since the first season. It is a drama that will really get you wrapped up. The best thing that I think about the show is the feelings of nostalgia that watching the show conjures up. Even if you weren’t born in the sixities, there is just something wonderful about the era. Maybe it is the ultra-feminine clothing or the retro look to everything. It could also be that life seemed simpler then, there were no cell phones buzzing and email blinking off the hook. Everything seemed to move at a slower pace and was less complicated. Then again, it could be that everyone is constantly drinking and smoking at work that makes the show so entertaining. All together, I really like it and can’t wait until the new season starts this summer. I can’t believe that we have had to wait an entire year for this, its going to be just great!

I’m thinking her logic of “1930” stems from the fact that I’m in my 30’s. But, for Nana’s sake, I’m hoping not…
